Whatever category of licence you need, we are here to support you. From dealing with the DVLA and getting your provisional, to theory test training and finally taking your practical test, Weston College's Somax will provide you with all the information you need to pass.

The process...

Once you have your provisional (don’t worry, when you make contact with us we can help you get this if you need us), you can meet with our instructors. You’ll then go for an initial drive with our experienced instructor by your side so that we can give you the best price for your training, so you can make sure this is the course for you before committing to our course.

ADR Driver Training

Information:

ADR Driver Training – The current European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road 2009(ADR) and The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009(CDG), require the driver of any dangerous goods carrying vehicle, over certain thresholds, to undertake vocational training (ADR Certification) and in all cases to undertake training corresponding to their duties.

Who Needs an ADR Certificate?

“Drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods shall hold a certificate issued by the competent authority or by any organisation recognised by that authority stating that they have participated in a training course and passed an examination on the particular requirements that have to be met during carriage of dangerous goods.” 8.2.1.1 ADR 2009.

Candidates receive training in the following areas: Fire, First Aid, Vehicle Documentation, Vehicle Equipment, Emergency Procedures, Hazards of Dangerous Goods, Security of Loads, Loading and Unloading of Dangerous Goods in Packages and Tankers.

Full Initial ADR Certification – Includes the 7 general classes, dangerous goods in packages & tanks. Duration: 5 days (Click through to diary dates)

Packages Only Initial ADR Certification – Includes the 7 general classes, dangerous goods in packages. Duration: 4 days (Click through to diary dates)

Tanks and Class 3 ADR Certification – Initial 3 days, Refresher 2 days (Click through to diary dates)

Both the 5 and 4 Day course are available with 21 hours of Driver CPC (Add the logo)

Refresher courses either 21 or 7 hours of Driver CPC

All courses are on a 3:1 basis and conducted on customers own site to meet with Health and Safety regulations.
